حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ أَفْلَحَ عَنْ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ خَوْلَةَ امْرَأَةِ حَمْزَةَ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَحَمْزَةَ وَهُمَا يَذْكُرَانِ الدُّنْيَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا خَضِرَةٌ مَنْ أَخَذَهَا بِحَقِّهَا بُورِكَ لَهُ فِيهَا وَرُبَّ مُتَخَوِّضٍ فِي مَالِ اللهِ وَمَالِ رَسُولِهِ لَهُ النَّارُ يَوْمَ يَلْقَى رَبَّهُ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he and Hamzah were mentioning the world, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Indeed the world is green; whoever takes it by its right will be blessed for him in it, and many a one plunges into the wealth of Allah and the wealth of His Messenger — for him is the Fire on the day he meets his Lord.”
