حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالُوا ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ أَفْلَحَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ سَنُوطَا عَنْ خَوْلَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسِ بْنِ قَهْدٍ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُذَاكِرُ حَمْزَةَ الدُّنْيَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا حُلْوَةٌ خَضِرَةٌ فَمَنْ أَخَذَ عَفْوَها بُورِكَ لَهُ فِيهَا وَرُبَّ مُتَخَوِّضٍ فِي مَالِ اللهِ وَمَالِ رَسُولِهِ لَهُ النَّارُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was discussing the world with Hamzah, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Indeed the world is sweet and green; so whoever takes its surplus is blessed for him in it, and many a one plunges into the wealth of Allah and the wealth of His Messenger — for him is the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.”
