✧ Hamnah bt. Jahsh, also known as Umm Habibah, she was the wife of Abdurrahman b. Awf, and she was the sister of Zainab, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ .

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ثنا الثَّوْرِيِّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنِ ابْنِ بُجَيْدٍ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ قَالَتْ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ يَأْتِينِي السَّائِلُ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدِي شَيْءٌ أُعْطِيهُ فَقَالَ «لَا تَرُدِّينَهُ إِلَّا بِشَيْءٍ وَلَوْ بِظِلْفٍ»

✧ I said, "O Messenger of Allah, a beggar comes to me and I have nothing to give him." He said, "Do not turn him away empty-handed even if it is with a date."
