حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا أَبُو زُهَيْرٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَغْرَاءٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كُرَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ الْأَحْنَفَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَمَّهُ وَعَمُّهُ جَارِيَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ وَهُوَ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قُلْ لِي قَوْلًا يَنْفَعُنِي وَاقْلِلْ لَعَلِّي أَعْقِلُهُ قَالَ «لَا تَغْضَبْ» ثُمَّ عَادَ فَقَالَ «لَا تَغْضَبْ»
