حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ الْأَحْنَفِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَمٍّ لَهُ قَالَ
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قُلْ لِي قَوْلًا وَاقْلِلْ لَعَلِّي أَعْقِلُهُ قَالَ «لَا تَغْضَبْ» فَعُدْتُ لَهُ مِرَارًا كُلَّ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَغْضَبْ»

✧ I said: “O Messenger of Allah, tell me a concise statement, so that perhaps I may comprehend it.” He said: “Do not become angry.” I repeated it to him several times, and each time the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: “Do not become angry.”
