حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ جُدَامَةَ بِنْتِ وَهْبٍ الْأَسَدِيَّةِ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَنْهَى عَنِ الْغِيَالِ فَإِذَا فَارِسُ وَالرُّومُ يُغِيلُونَ أَوْلَادَهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ شَيْئًا»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "I wanted to forbid al-ghiyāl (sexual intercourse with nursing mothers), but I found that the Persians and Romans have intercourse with their nursing mothers, and it does not harm them at all."
