ثنا عَلَيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ حَدَّثَنِي الْوَاقِدِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي شُعَيْبُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ ؓ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ

أَنَّهَا رَأَتْ رَجُلًا مَارًّا وَهِي فِي هَوْدَجِهَا فَقَالَتْ «مَا رَأَيْتُ رَجُلًا أَشْبَهَ بِأَبِي بَكْرٍ مِنْ هَذَا» فَقِيلَ لَهَا صِفِي لَنَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَقَالَتْ «كَانَ رَجُلًا أَبْيَضَ نَحِيفًا خَفِيفَ الْعَارِضَيْنِ أحْنَا لَا تَسْتَمْسِكُ إِزْرَتُهُ تَسْتَرْخِي عَنْ حَقْوَيْهِ مَعْرُوقَ الْوَجْهِ غَائِرَ الْعَيْنَيْنِ نَاتِئَ الْجَبْهَةِ عَارِيَ الْأشَاجِعِ هَذِهِ صِفَتُهُ»

✧ She saw a man passing by while she was in her howdah and said, "I have never seen a man more resembling Abu Bakr than this one." It was said to her, "Describe Abu Bakr for us." She said, "He was a fair-skinned, slender man with light hair on his temples, slightly stooped; his waist-wrapper would not stay up and would slip from his hips; he had a lean face, deep-set eyes, a prominent forehead, and thin forearms. This is his description."
