482 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ أُنَيْسَةَ وَكَانَتْ مُصَلِّيَةً

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ ابْنَ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ أَوْ بِلَالًا يُؤَذِّنُ بِلَيْلٍ فَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يُؤَذِّنَ بِلَالٌ أَوِ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ» وَمَا كَانَ إِلَّا يُؤَذِّنُ أَحَدُهُمَا حَتَّى يَصْعَدَ الْآخَرُ فَنَأْخُذَهُ بِيَدِهِ فَنَقُولُ كَمَا أَنْتَ حَتَّى نَتَسَحَّرَ

Translation

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “Ibn Umm Maktūm or Bilāl gives the call to prayer at night, so eat and drink until Bilāl or Ibn Umm Maktūm gives the call.” It was only that one of them would give the call, and the other would then ascend. We would take him by the hand and say: as you are, until we took the pre-dawn meal.
