حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ

أَنَّهَا بَيْنَا هِيَ فِي نِسْوَةٍ مَرَّ عَلَيْهِنَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِيَّاكُنَّ وَكُفْرَ الْمُنَعَّمِينَ» قَالَتْ وَمَا كُفْرُ الْمُنَعَّمِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ لَعَلَّ إِحْدَاكُنَّ يَطُولُ أَيْمَتُهَا أَوْ تَعْنُسُ عَنْ أَبَوَيْهَا ثُمَّ لَعَلَّ اللهَ يَرْزُقُهَا زَوْجًا ثُمَّ يَرْزُقُهَا مِنْهُ وَلَدًا فَيَغْضَبُ الْغَضْبَةَ فَكَفَّرَهُ فَيَقُولُ وَاللهِ مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ

✧ While she was among a group of women, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by them, greeted them, and then said: "Beware of the ingratitude of those who are given blessings." She said: "What is the ingratitude of those who are given blessings, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Perhaps one of you remains unmarried for a long time, or becomes an old maid in her parents' house. Then perhaps Allah provides her with a husband, then provides her with a child from him, then she becomes angry and denies his favors, saying: 'By Allah, I have never seen any good from you.'"
