حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ قَالَتْ

أَنَا مِنَ النِّسْوَةِ اللَّاتِي أَخَذَ عَلَيْهِنَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ وَكُنْتُ جَارِيَةً ناهدًا جَرِيئَةً عَلَى مَسْأَلَتِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْسُطْ يَدَكَ حَتَّى أُصَافِحُكَ فَقَالَ «إِنِّي لَا أُصَافِحُ النِّسَاءَ وَلَكِنْ آخُذُ عَلَيْهِنَّ مَا أَخَذَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِنَّ» قَالَتْ وَنَظَرَ إِلَى خَالَةٍ لِي فِي يَدِهَا سِوَارَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَأَخَذَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ فَرَمَاهَا بِهِ فَقَالَ «أَيَسُرُّكِ أَنْ يَجْعَلَ اللهُ لَكِ سِوَارَيْنِ مِنْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ؟» قَالَتْ أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «فَإِنْ كُنْتِ تَعَوَّذْتِ بِاللهِ فَأَلْقِي هَذَيْنِ عَنْكِ» فَعَالَجْتُهُ وَأَعَنْتَهَا عَلَى ذَلِكَ فَنَبَذَتْهُ فَمَا أَدْرِي حَتَّى السَّاعَةِ مَنْ ذَهَبَ بِهِمَا

✧ I was among the women from whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took the pledge. She said: "I was a young woman, bold in questioning him, so I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, stretch out your hand so that I may shake it.' He said: 'I do not shake hands with women, but I take from them what Allah has taken from them.'" She said: "He looked at a maternal aunt of mine who had two bracelets of gold on her hand. He took something from the ground and threw it at her and said: 'Would it please you for Allah to give you two bracelets of the fire of Hell?' She said: 'I seek refuge with Allah.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'If you have sought refuge with Allah, then throw these two off of you.' She struggled with it and I helped her with that, and she threw them away. I do not know even now who went off with them."
