حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ مِنْ شَقَاءِ الْمَرْءِ فِي الدُّنْيَا ثَلَاثَةً سُوءَ الدَّارِ وَسُوءَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَسُوءَ الدَّابَّةِ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا سُوءُ الدَّارِ؟ قَالَ «ضِيقُ سَاحَتِهَا وَخُبْثُ جِيرَانِهَا» قِيلَ فَمَا سُوءُ الدَّابَّةِ؟ قَالَ «مَنْعُهَا ظَهْرَهَا وَسُوءُ ضَلْعِهَا» قِيلَ فَمَا سُوءُ الْمَرْأَةِ؟ قَالَ «عُقْمُ رَحِمِهَا وَسُوءُ خُلُقِهَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among the misfortune of a person in this world are three: a bad house, a bad wife, and a bad mount." She said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is a bad house?" He said, "Its courtyard being narrow and its neighbors being wicked." It was said, "What is a bad mount?" He said, "Its refusing to be ridden and its poor condition." It was said, "What is a bad wife?" He said, "Her womb being barren and her character being bad."
