حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَتْ

أَتَتْنِي أُمِّي فِي عَهْدِ قُرَيْشٍ وَهِيَ مُشْرِكَةٌ فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَصْلُهَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» بَابٌ

✧ My mother came to me during the time of Quraysh, and she was a polytheist. I asked the Prophet ﷺ: “Shall I maintain ties with her?” He said: “Yes.” [Chapter]
