حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَفَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ

«أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ لَمَّا وُلِدَ أُتِيَ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَمَسَحَهُ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَسَمَّاهُ عَبْدَ اللهِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ بَعْدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ أَوْ ثَمَانٍ لِيُبَايِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَهُ بِذَلِكَ الزُّبَيْرُ فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ رَآهُ مُقْبِلًا وَبَايَعَهُ» بَابٌ

✧ When ʿAbdullāh b. al-Zubayr was born, he was brought to the Prophet ﷺ, and he wiped him and prayed over him and named him ʿAbdullāh. Then he came later, when he was seven or eight years old, to pledge allegiance to the Messenger of God ﷺ; al-Zubayr had ordered him to do that. The Messenger of God ﷺ smiled when he saw him approaching, and he accepted his pledge. [Chapter]
