حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَتْ

قَدِمَتْ عَلِيَّ أُمِّي وَهِيَ مُشْرِكَةٌ فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي صِلَتِهَا فَقَالَ «صِلِيهَا»

✧ My mother came to me while she was a polytheist, and I asked the Messenger of God ﷺ for permission to maintain ties with her. He said: “Maintain ties with her.”
