حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو مُرَّةَ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مُرَّةَ بْنِ مَجَاعَةَ الْيَمَامِيُّ ثنا نَفِيسٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ يَعْنِي الْعَبْدِيَّ قَالَ
كُنْتُ فِي الْوَفْدِ الَّذِينَ أَنْزَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُمْ وَإِنَّمَا كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي قَالَ «فَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ»

✧ I was among the delegation that the Messenger of God ﷺ lodged, from 'Abd al-Qays, though I was not one of them; I was only with my father. He said: "The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade drinking from gourds, glazed jars, hollowed-out palm stumps, and pitch-coated vessels."
