حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ تَقُولُ أَتَتْنِي أُمِّي وَهِيَ رَاغِبَةٌ فِي عَهْدِ قُرَيْشٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَصِلُهَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

Translation

✧ He heard Asma' bint Abi Bakr say: My mother came to me while she was desirous [of my kindness], during the period of the Quraysh [treaty]. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I maintain ties with her?" He said, "Yes."
