حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمَدِينِيُّ فُسْتُقَةٌ قَالَ
مَاتَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَسَبْعِينَ بَعْدَ ابْنِهَا عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بِلَيَالٍ وَكَانَتْ أُخْتَ عَائِشَةَ لِأَبِيهَا وَأُمُّ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قُتَيْلَةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى بْنِ عَبْدِ أَسْعَدَ مِنْ بَنِي مَالِكِ بْنِ حَسَلٍ وَكَانَ لِأَسْمَاءَ يَوْمَ مَاتَتْ مِائَةُ سَنَةٍ وُلِدَتْ قَبْلَ التَّارِيخِ بِسَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً وَقَبْلَ مَبْعَثِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِسَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً وَوُلِدَتْ أَسْمَاءُ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَسِنُّهُ وَاحِدٌ وَعِشْرُونَ سَنَةً

- Muḥammad b. ʿAlī b. al-Madīnī Fustuqah
✧ Asma' bint Abi Bakr al-Siddiq died in the year seventy-three, a few nights after her son 'Abd Allah b. al-Zubayr. She was a sister of 'A'ishah through her father. The mother of Asma' bint Abi Bakr was Qutaylah bint 'Abd al-'Uzza b. 'Abd As'ad, of the Banu Malik b. Hasal. On the day she died, Asma' was one hundred years old. She was born twenty-seven years before the calendar, and seventeen years before the sending of the Prophet ﷺ. Asma' was born to Abu Bakr when he was twenty-one years old.
