حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْباعِ ثنا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ الْعُمَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ
عَنِ الْهِلَالِيَّةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ لَهَا خَادِمُةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَعْتَقَ هَذِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَلَا تُعِينِينَ بِهَا بَنِي أَخِيكِ فِي رَعِيَّةِ الْغَنَمِ»

✧ From the Hilaliyyah woman who was with the Prophet ﷺ, that she had a black servant girl. She said, “O Messenger of Allah, I want to manumit this one.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Will you not help your brother’s sons with her in tending the sheep?”
