حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ مَعْنٍ ثنا أَبِي عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ قَالَ
ادَّانَتْ مَيْمُونَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ثَمَانِمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ فَقِيلَ لَهَا أَتَسْتَدِينِينَ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَكِ مَا تَقْضِينَ؟ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنِ ادَّانَ دَيْنًا وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ نَفْسَهُ بِقَضَائِهِ أَعَانَهُ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ»

✧ Maymuna, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, took on a debt of eight hundred dirhams. It was said to her, "Will you take a debt when you have nothing to repay it with?" She said, "I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, 'Whoever takes on a debt while being determined to repay it, God will help him repay it.'"
