حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْأَيْلِيِّ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ رُومَانَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ
كَانَ عِنْدِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَعَيْنَاهُ مُحْمَرَّتَانِ فَقَالَ فَانْفَضَّ رَأْسُهُ «وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ» فَقُلْتُ وَمَا ذَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «فُتِحَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذِهِ» وَعَقَدَ عَشْرَةً قَالَتْ لَا أَدْرِي أَمِثْلَ الْحَلْقَةِ أَوْ مِثْلَ الْأُنْمُلَةِ قُلْتُ أَتَخَافُ عَلَيْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الْهَلَاكَ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ؟ فَقَالَ «نَعَمْ إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ» فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ رُومَانَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَحَدَّثَنِيهِ كَمَا قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ

✧ One day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was with me, and he woke up with his eyes red. He shook his head and said: “Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near.” I said: What is that, O Messenger of Allah? He said: “A gap has been opened in the barrier of Ya'juj and Ma'juj like this,” and he formed a circle with ten fingers. The narrator said: I do not know whether [it was] like a ring or like a fingertip. I said: Do you fear for us destruction, O Messenger of Allah, even though righteous people are among us? He said: “Yes, when wickedness becomes widespread.” Umm Ruman said: 'A'ishah said: I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about this hadith, and he narrated it to me just as Umm Salamah said.
