حَدَّثَنَا الْخَلَّالُ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَطْعَمَ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ يَأْكُلُ»

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ wanted to sleep while in a state of major ritual impurity, he would perform ablution as for prayer; and when he wanted to eat, he would wash his hands and then eat.
