حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبٌ ثنا أَبِي ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ
أَنَّ امْرَأَةً كَانَتْ تُهْرَاقُ الدِّمَاءَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَاسْتَفْتَتْ لَهَا أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لِتَنْظُرْ عِدَّةَ الْأَيَّامِ وَاللَّيَالِيَ الَّتِي كَانَتْ تَحِيضُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَكُونَ بِهَا الَّذِي كَانَ وَقَدْرَهُنَّ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ فَتَتْرُكُ الصَّلَاةَ لِذَلِكَ فَإِذَا حَلَفَتْ لِذَلِكَ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ وَلْتُصَلِّ»

✧ That a woman used to have profuse bleeding during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Umm Salamah sought a ruling for her from the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ said: «Let her look at the number of days and nights that she used to menstruate before what occurred to her, and their measure from the month; so she should leave the prayer for that. Then when that is completed and prayer time comes, let her perform ghusl and pray.»
