حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ
أَنَّ امْرَأَةً كَانَتْ تُهْرَاقُ الدِّمَاءَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَاسْتَفْتَتْ لَهَا أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ «لِتَنْظُرْ عِدَّةَ اللَّيَالِيَ وَالْأَيَّامِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ تَحِيضُهُنَّ وَقَدْرَهُنَّ فَلْتَتْرُكِ الصَّلَاةَ فَإِذَا حَلَفَتْ ذَلِكَ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ وَلْتَسْتَثْفِرْ بِثَوْبٍ وَلْتُصَلِّ»

✧ That a woman used to have profuse bleeding during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Umm Salamah sought a ruling for her from the Prophet ﷺ about that. He said: «Let her look at the number of nights and days that she used to menstruate, and their measure, and leave the prayer; then when that is completed, let her perform ghusl and tie a cloth and pray.»
