✧ “O Messenger of Allah, my hands have become calloused from the mill, kneading bread and dough.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her: “If Allah provides you something it will come to you. I shall direct you to something better than that. When you lie down in your bed, glorify Allah thirty-three times, praise Allah thirty-three times, and magnify Allah thirty-four times. That is better for you than a servant. And when you pray the morning prayer, say ten times after the morning prayer and ten times after the sunset prayer: ‘There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise. He gives life and causes death. In His hand is all good, and He is capable of all things.’ Each one of them is recorded as ten good deeds, erases ten evil deeds, and each one is like freeing a slave from the children of Ishmael. No sin committed that day is lawful to remain except that it erases it, unless it be associating partners with Allah. ‘There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner’—it guards you from every devil and from every thing between your saying it in the morning and your saying it in the evening.”
