حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ حَدَّثَنِي هَاشِمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ اضْطَجَعَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ لِلنَّوْمِ فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَهُوَ خَاثِرُ النَّفْسِ فَاضْطَجَعَ فَرَقَدَ فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَفِي يَدِهِ تُرْبَةٌ حَمْرَاءُ يُقلِّبُهَا فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذِهِ التُّرْبَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي جِبْرِيلُ أَنَّ هَذَا يُقْتَلُ بِأَرْضِ الْعِرَاقِ لِحُسَيْنٍ فَقُلْتُ لِجِبْرِيلَ أَرِنِي تُرْبَةَ الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي يُقْتَلُ فِيهَا فَهَذِهِ تُرْبَتُهَا

✧ One day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lay down to sleep, then he woke up while he was disturbed in spirit. Then he lay down and slept, then he woke up with red soil in his hand, turning it over. I said, “What is this soil, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “Jibril told me that this one will be killed in the land of Iraq – meaning Husayn. I said to Jibril, ‘Show me the soil of the land in which he will be killed,’ so this is its soil.”
