حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ
فِي بَيْتِي نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا} فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى فَاطِمَةَ وَحَسَنٍ وَحُسَيْنٍ فَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ أَهْلِي» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ قَالَ «إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ»

✧ In my house this verse was revealed: {Allah only intends to remove from you the impurity, O people of the household, and to purify you with a thorough purification}. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent for Fatimah, Hasan, and Husayn and said: "O Allah, these are my family." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, am I not from the household?" He said: "If Allah wills."
