حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ اللهِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَقْطَعُوا الْخُبْزَ بِالسِّكِّينِ كَمَا تَقْطَعُهُ الْأَعَاجِمُ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ اللَّحْمَ فَلَا يَقْطَعْهُ بِالسِّكِّينِ وَلَكِنْ لِيَأْخُذْهُ بِيَدِهِ فَلْيَنْهَشْهُ بِفِيهِ فَإِنَّهُ أَهْنَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not cut bread with a knife as the Persians cut it. When one of you wants to eat meat, he should not cut it with a knife; rather, he should take it with his hand and bite it with his mouth, for it is more wholesome and more nourishing."
