حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ
وَضَعَتْ سُبَيْعَةُ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا فَخَطَبَهَا رَجُلَانِ فَقَالُوا لَمْ تَحِلَّ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «قَدْ أَحْلَلْتِ فَتَزَوَّجِي مَنْ شِئْتِ»

✧ Subay'ah gave birth after her husband's death, then two men proposed to her. They said she had not become lawful. I mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ said: "You have become lawful, so marry whomever you wish."
