حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ
دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمًا فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ وَلَمْ أَكُنْ أَرَاهُ يُصَلِّيهِمَا فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا هَاتَانِ الرَّكْعَتَانِ قَالَ «قَدِمَ وَفْدُ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ فَكُنْتُ أُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ فَلَمْ أَكُنْ صَلَّيْتُهُمَا فَهُمَا هَاتَانِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered upon me one day and prayed two rak'ahs after 'Asr. I had not seen him pray them, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what are these two rak'ahs?" He said, "The delegation of Banu Tamim arrived, and I used to pray two rak'ahs after Zuhr, but I had not prayed them, so these are those two."
