حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا عَطِيَّةُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَتْ
أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فِي بَيْتِي {إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا} وَأَنَا جَالِسَةٌ عَلَى الْبَابِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَسْتُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ قَالَ «أَنْتِ إِلَى خَيْرٍ»

✧ Umm Salamah: This verse was revealed in my house: {Indeed, Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity, O people of the household, and to purify you with thorough purification.} I was sitting at the door, so I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, am I not one of the people of the household?' He said, 'You are upon good.'
