حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ أَبِي السَّمْحِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَتْ
إِنَّ أُنَاسًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَعَلَّمَهُمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَالسُّنَنَ وَالْفَرَائِضَ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لَنَا شَرَابًا نَصْنَعُهُ مِنَ الْقَمْحِ وَالشَّعِيرِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْغُبَيْرَاءُ؟» فَقَالُوا نَعَمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَصْنَعُوا»

✧ Some people from the people of Yemen came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and he taught them prayer, the customary practices, and the obligatory duties. They said, 'O Messenger of God, we have a drink we make from wheat and barley.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'Al-ghubayrāʾ?' They said, 'Yes.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'Do not make it.'
