حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا حَسَّانُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ
أَنَّ أُنَاسًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ قَدِمُوا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَعَلَّمَهُمُ السُّنَنَ وَالصَّلَاةَ وَالْفَرَائِضَ فَقَالُوا إِنَّ لَنَا شَرَابًا نَصْنَعُهُ مِنَ الْقَمْحِ وَالشَّعِيرِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْغُبَيْرَاءُ» ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَلَا تَطْعَمُوهُ» قَالُوا فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يَدَعُونَهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «فَمَنْ لَمْ يَتْرُكْهَا فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَهُ»

✧ Some people from the people of Yemen came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he taught them the customary practices, prayer, and the obligatory duties. They said, 'We have a drink we make from wheat and barley.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'Al-ghubayrāʾ?' They said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Then do not consume it.' They said, 'But they will not abandon it.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'Whoever does not abandon it, strike his neck.'
