✧ The Sermon of Aisha

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أبنا أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ

عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ عُطَارِدَ بْنَ حَاجِبٍ قَدِمَ بِثَوْبٍ كَسَاهُ إِيَّاهُ كِسْرَى فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ أَلَا تَشْتَرِيهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «إِنَّمَا يَشْتَرِيهِ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ»

✧ From Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, that Utarid b. Hajib brought a garment that Chosroes had given him. Umar b. al-Khattab said, 'Will you not buy it, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Only one who has no share will buy it.'
