حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ قَعْدَةً لَا يَتَكَلَّمُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ خُطْبَةً أُخْرَى عَلَى مِنْبَرِهِ فَمَنْ حَدَّثَكَ أَنَّهُ رآه يَخْطُبُ قَاعِدًا فَلَا تُصَدِّقْهُ»

✧ “I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ delivering the sermon standing, then he sat for a while without speaking, then he stood and delivered another sermon on his pulpit. Whoever tells you that he saw him delivering the sermon sitting, do not believe him.”
