حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
دَخَلَ عُمَرُ عَلَى حَفْصَةَ وَهِيَ تَبْكِي فَقَالَ «مَا يُبْكِيكِ؟ لَعَلَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ طَلَّقَكِ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ طَلَّقَكِ وَرَاجَعَكِ مِنْ أَجْلِي وَاللهِ لَئِنْ كَانَ طَلَّقَكِ لَا أُكَلِّمُكِ كَلِمَةً أَبَدًا»

✧ Umar entered upon Hafsah while she was crying, so he said, "What makes you cry? Perhaps the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has divorced you. Indeed, if the Prophet ﷺ has divorced you, he will return you to me because of me. By Allah, if he has divorced you, I will never speak to you again."
