حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ قَالَ
«فَوَلَدَ عُمَرُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ وَأُخْتَهُ لِأَبِيهِ وَأُمَّهُ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتَ عُمَرَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَكْبَرَ وَأُمُّهُمْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ مَظْعُونِ بْنِ حَبِيبِ بْنِ وَهْبِ بْنِ حُذَافَةَ بْنِ جُمَحٍ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرَاتِ وَكَانَتْ قَبْلَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عِنْدَ خُنَيْسِ بْنِ حُذَافَةَ السَّهْمِيِّ وَشَهِدَ بَدْرًا أَبُوهَا وَعَمُّهَا زَيْدٌ وَشَهِدَ بَدْرًا أَخْوَالُهَا عُثْمَانُ وَقُدَامَةُ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ ابْنُ خَالِهَا وَالسَّائِبُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ»

✧ “Umar fathered ‘Abd Allah b. ‘Umar and his full sister Hafsah bt. ‘Umar, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, and ‘Abd al-Rahman the elder; their mother was Zaynab bt. Maz‘un b. Habib b. Wahb b. Hudhafah b. Jumah. She was among the emigrant women; before the Prophet ﷺ she had been married to Khunays b. Hudhafah al-Sahmi. Her father and her paternal uncle Zayd attended Badr, and her maternal uncles ‘Uthman, Qudamah, and ‘Abd Allah b. her maternal aunt, and al-Sa’ib b. ‘Uthman attended Badr.”
