al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 19604

✧ The interpretation of His saying: "Why have you not, when you heard it ('it' refers to the Prophet's ﷺ statement about the slander), yourself brought it forth by your own people, saying: ‘It is not for us to speak of this. Glory be to You (O Allah)! This is a great slander.’

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ

فِي قَوْلِهِ {§يَعِظُكُمُ اللهُ أَنْ تَعُودُوا لِمِثْلِهِ أَبَدًا} قَالَ «يَنْهَاكُمْ»
