حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْغَنِيِّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَعَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ {لَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ} «يُرِيدُ أَفَلَا سَمِعْتُمُوهُ» {قُلْتُمْ مَا يَكُونُ لَنَا

أَنْ نَتَكَلَّمَ بِهَذَا سُبْحَانَكَ هَذَا بُهْتَانٌ عَظِيمٌ} يُرِيدُ بِالْبُهْتَانِ الِافْتِرَاءَ الْعَظِيمَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِ فِي مَرْيَمَ {وَقَوْلُهُمْ عَلَى مَرْيَمَ بُهْتَانًا عَظِيمًا}

✧ "That we speak of this. Glory be to You! This is a great slander." He means by the slander, the great fabrication, like His saying regarding Maryam: {And their saying about Maryam is a great slander}.
