✧ Interpretation of the verse of Allah: "{And who turns away due to his arrogance}

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ ثنا يَحْيَى ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ {لَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ} يَعْنِي «§قَذْفَ عَائِشَةَ وَصَفْوَانَ هَلَّا كَذَّبْتُمْ بِهِ؟» أَلَا {ظَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ}

«لِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ جَحْشٍ» {بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًا} «أَلَا ظَنَّ بَعْضُهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ خَيْرًا بِأَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَرَوْا هَذَا» {وَقَالُوا هَذَا إِفْكٌ} أَلَا قَالُوا هَذَا الْقَذْفُ كَذِبٌ بَيِّنٌ؟

✧ "Because among them was Zaynab bt. Jahsh." {Of themselves good} "Should not some of them have thought good of others, since they did not see this?" {And they said, "This is a slander"} "Should they not have said, 'This accusation is a clear lie'?"
