حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ قَالَتْ

بَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جَالِسٌ فِي الْبَيْتِ إِذْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَجُلٌ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالَ «هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ وَقَدْ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقْرَأَ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامَ» فَقُلْتُ أَرْجِعْ إِلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ إِلَيْهِ مِنِّي السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

✧ While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting in the house, a man entered upon us on a horse. The Prophet ﷺ stood, then returned. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, who is this?' He said, 'This is Jibril, and he has commanded me to convey greetings of peace to you.' So I said, 'Return the greeting to him: to him from me be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.'
