al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 19375

✧ Umm Kulthum bt. Rasul Allah ﷺ passed away during his lifetime.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ قَالَ

وَأَوْصَى أَبُو الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بِابْنَتِهِ أُمَامَةَ إِلَى الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ وَبِتِرْكَتِهِ فَزَوَّجَهَا الزُّبَيْرُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَوْصَتْهُ بِذَلِكَ فَاطِمَةُ ؓ وَقُتِلَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَأُمَامَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ عِنْدَهُ وَلَمْ تَلِدْ لَهُ فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ الْهَيْثَمِ النَّخَعَيِّةُ فِي ذَلِكَ

Translation

✧ And Abu al-'As b. al-Rabi' bequeathed his daughter Umamah to al-Zubayr b. al-'Awwam along with his estate, so al-Zubayr married her to 'Ali b. Abi Talib after the death of Fatimah bint Rasul Allah ﷺ. Fatimah ؓ had enjoined that upon him. 'Ali b. Abi Talib was killed while Umamah bint Abi al-'As was with him, and she did not bear him any child. Umm al-Haytham al-Nakha'iyyah said concerning that:
