حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ قَالَ
وَكَانَتْ أُمُّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عِنْدَ عُتَيْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي لَهَبٍ الَّذِي أَكَلَهُ الْأَسَدُ فَفَارَقَهَا وَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَتْ رُقْيَةُ عِنْدَ عُثْمَانَ زَوَّجَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُمَّ كُلْثُومٍ فَتُوُفِّيَتْ عِنْدَهُ وَلَمْ تَلِدْ لَهُ شَيْئًا وَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَوْ كَانَ لِي عَشْرٌ لَزَوَّجْتُكَهُنَّ»

✧ Umm Kulthum bint Rasul Allah ﷺ was with Utaybah b. Abi Lahab, the one whom the lion ate, but he parted from her. When Ruqayyah died with Uthman, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married Umm Kulthum to him, and she died with him without bearing him any child. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, 'If I had ten, I would marry them all to you.'
