حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحَرَشِيُّ ثنا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْغَامِدِيُّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي مَا هَذِهِ الْجَمَاعَةُ؟ قَالَ

هَؤُلَاءِ قَوْمٌ اجْتَمَعُوا عَلَى صَابِئٍ لَهُمْ قَالَ فَأَشْرَفْتُ فَإِذَا بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَدْعُو النَّاسَ إِلَى تَوْحِيدِ اللهِ وَالْإِيمَانِ بِهِ حَتَّى ارْتَفَعَ النَّهَارُ وَتَصَدَّعَ عَنْهُ النَّاسُ فَإِذَا امْرَأَةٌ قَدْ بَدَا نَحْرُهَا تَحْمِلُ قَدَحًا وَمِنْدِيلًا فَتَنَاوَلَهُ مِنْهَا فَشَرِبَ وَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَيْهَا فَقَالَ «يَا بُنَيَّةُ خَمِّرِي عَلَيْكِ نَحْرَكِ وَلَا تَخَافِي عَلَى أَبِيكِ غَلَبَةً وَلَا ذُلًّا» فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَذِهِ؟ قَالُوا هَذِهِ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ "These people gathered around a pagan idol. Then suddenly, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ appeared and called the people to believe in the oneness of Allah. The day broke and people started to disperse from around him. Then a woman appeared, carrying a cup and a handkerchief. The Prophet ﷺ took it from her, drank from it, performed ablution, and then raised his head towards her and said, 'O my daughter, cover your neck and do not fear any harm for your father.' I asked, 'Who is she?' They said, 'She is Zainab, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'"
