حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ عَنْ أُمِّ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

بَيْنَمَا أَنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتٍ يُلَاعِبُنِي وَأُلَاعِبُهُ إِذْ دَخَلَتْ عَلَيْنَا فَاطِمَةُ فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِهَا فَأَقْعَدَهَا خَلْفَهُ وَنَاجَاهَا بِشَيْءٍ لَا أَدْرِي مَا هُوَ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى فَاطِمَةَ تَبْكِي ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَحَدَّثَنِي وَلَاعَبَنِي ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَلَاعَبَهَا وَنَاجَاهَا بِشَيْءٍ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى فَاطِمَةَ وَإِذَا هِيَ تَضْحَكُ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَخَرَجَ فَقُلْتُ لِفَاطِمَةَ مَا الَّذِي نَاجَاكِ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَتْ «لَيْسَ كُلَّمَا أَسَرَّ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُخْبِرُكِ بِهِ» قُلْتُ أُذَكِّرُكِ اللهَ وَالرَّحِمَ قَالَتْ «أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ مَقْبُوضٌ قَدْ حَضَرَ أَجَلُهُ فَبَكَيْتُ لِفِرَاقِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ إِلَيَّ فَنَاجَانِي أَنِّي أَوَّلُ مَنْ يَلْحَقُ بِهِ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ فَضَحِكْتُ لِلِقَاءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»

✧ While I was with the Messenger of God ﷺ in a room and he was playing with me and I was playing with him, Fatimah entered. The Messenger of God ﷺ took her by the hand and seated her behind him, and whispered to her something I do not know what it was. I looked at Fatimah weeping. Then the Messenger of God ﷺ turned to me and spoke to me and played with me. Then he turned to her and played with her and whispered to her something. I looked at Fatimah, and there she was laughing. The Messenger of God ﷺ stood up and went out. I said to Fatimah: “What did the Messenger of God ﷺ whisper to you?” She said: “Not every time the Messenger of God ﷺ confides in me do I tell you.” I said: “I remind you of God and the womb.” She said: “He told me that he will be taken and that his term has come, so I wept at parting from the Messenger of God ﷺ. Then he turned to me and whispered to me that I am the first of his household to join him, so I laughed at meeting the Messenger of God ﷺ.”
