حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا ورْقَاءُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَفْصِ بْنِ أَبِي عَقِيلٍ أَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ مُرَّةَ قَالَ

رَآنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَنَا مُتَخَلِّقٌ فَقَالَ يَا يَعْلَى هَلْ لَكَ امْرَأَةٌ قُلْتُ لَا قَالَ فَاذْهَبْ فَاغْسِلْهُ ثُمَّ اغْسِلْهُ عَنْكَ ثُمَّ اغْسِلْهُ عَنْكَ ثُمَّ لَا تَعُدْ قَالَ فَذَهَبْتُ فَغَسَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ غَسَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ غَسَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ لَمْ أَعُدْ حَتَّى السَّاعَةِ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ saw me wearing khaluq and said, “O Ya'la, do you have a wife?” I said, “No.” He said, “Go and wash it, then wash it off yourself, then wash it off yourself, then do not do it again.” He said: I went and washed it, then washed it, then washed it, then never did it again until this moment.
