✧ Hilal b. al-Harith, the father of al-Hamra, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , used to stay in Hims.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا الْعَبْدَسِيُّ ثنا هُشَيْمُ بْنُ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ هَبَّارِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَرَّ بِدَارِ هَبَّارِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ فَسَمِعَ صَوْتَ غَنَاءٍ فَقَالَ «مَا هَذَا؟» قِيلَ تَزْوِيجٌ فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «هَذَا النِّكَاحُ لَا السَّفَّاحُ يُرَدِّدُهَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by the house of Habbar b. al-Aswad and heard the sound of singing. He said: "What is this?" It was said: A wedding. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ began saying, repeating: "This is marriage, not fornication."
