✧ Hani bin Niyyar bin Amr bin Ubaid bin Kilab bin Duhman bin Ghanim bin Dhibyan bin Kahil bin Dihil bin Baliyy bin Amr bin al-Haf bin Quda'ah, Abu Burdah al-Balawi, Halif of Banu Harithah bin al-Khazraj, Aqabi, Badri and he is the uncle of Bara' bin Azib.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فَضَاءٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حِسَابٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ نِيَارٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «أَتَى الْقَبَائِلَ يَدْعُو لَهُمْ وَتَرَكَ قَبِيلَةً لَمْ يِأْتِهِمْ فَأَنْكَرُوا ذَلِكَ فَفَتَّشُوا مَتَاعَ صَاحِبٍ لَهُمْ فَوَجَدُوا قِلَادَةً فِي بَرْدَعَةِ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ غَلَّهَا فَرَدُّوهَا فَأَتَاهُمْ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِمْ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ came to the tribes to supplicate for them, and he left a tribe without coming to them. They found that objectionable, so they searched a companion of theirs and found a necklace in the pack-saddle of a man among them; he had stolen it. So they returned it, and he came to them and prayed over them.
