حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الْمَدِينِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ فَإِنْ أَتَمَّ فَلَكُمْ وَإِنْ نَقَصَ فَعَلَيْهِ النُّقْصَانُ وَلَكُمُ التَّمَامُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The imam is a shield. If he completes the prayer, it is for you; and if he falls short, the shortcoming is upon him and the completion is for you.'
