حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حَكَّامٍ ثَنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرِّشْكُ عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ مُسْلِمًا فَوْقَ ثَلَاثِ لَيَالٍ فَإِنَّهُمَا نَاكِبَانِ عَنِ الْحَقِّ مَا دَامَا عَلَى صَرْمِهِمَا وَأَوَّلُهُمَا فَيْئًا يَكُونُ سَبْقُهُ بِالْفَيْءِ كَفَّارَتَهُ وَإِنْ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ سَلَامَهُ رَدَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَيَرُدُّ عَلَى الْآخَرِ الشَّيْطَانُ وَلَئِنْ مَاتَا عَلَى صَرْمِهِمَا لَمْ يَدْخُلَا الْجَنَّةَ»

Translation

✧ from the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: "It is not lawful for a Muslim to abandon another Muslim for more than three nights. For both of them deviate from the truth as long as they remain in a state of severance. The first of them to return will have his precedence in returning as expiation. If he greets him and he does not accept and does not return his greeting, the angels return it to him, and Satan returns to the other. And if they die in a state of severance, they will not enter Paradise."
