حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو رَبِيعَةَ فَهِدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ ثنا شَيْخٌ لَنَا يُقَالُ لَهُ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفَضْلِ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ أَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْأَقْمَرِ عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ قَالَ

أَكَلْتُ ثَرِيدَةً مِنْ خُبْزِ بُرٍّ بِلَحْمٍ سَمِينٍ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَجَعَلْتُ أَتَجَشَّأُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اكْفُفْ مِنْ جَشَائِكَ فَإِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ فِي الدُّنْيَا شِبَعًا أَكْثَرُهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ جُوعًا»

✧ I ate a tharīdah of wheat bread with fat meat, then I came to the Prophet ﷺ and began to belch. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Restrain your belching, for the people who are most satiated in this world will be the most hungry on the Day of Resurrection.”
